[Too inflammatory for the official history of leaflet drops in Iraqi Freedom.] Here's another officially erased leaflet from Iraqi Freedom. At one time, Central Command had no problems with showing everyone the fruit of its psychological operations. It practiced transparency in this matter. But no longer.

All leaflets with this "family scene" have been pulled from the official history. Why?

In the real world, millions of these things were dropped on Iraq, so they're common as rocks in that country. This being the case, Iraqis imaginatively gathered them up to sell to US servicemen.

While you can no longer get the nasty-looking ones from Central Command, Iraqis will sell leaflets to you -- 3 for a dollar, 4 for a dollar, or isn't that a fair deal? How many do you want for one US dollar? Vendors and beggars standing in the roadside have them.

Back to beginning.

The official but redacted Iraqi leaflet history.

All of the leaflets -- preserved.
